Aging Skin (Fine Lines/ Wrinkles and Laxity)

Skintyte® - Non-Surgical Facelift

Are you bothered by sagging skin and jowls that make you look tired and old. But you dread the thought of discomfort and long downtimes associated with surgery? The Skintyte® non-surgical facelift may be the perfect and instant solution for you!

The Sciton Skintyte® is the latest infra-red technology which delivers precise bursts of energy to the skin heating up collagen fibres which contract giving you tighter, firmer skin. Collagen fibres continue to be replaced in the weeks following; giving you continued improvements over weeks to months.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis with no downtime and patients can resume all social activities post-lift. No anesthesia or painkillers are necessary. The whole process takes only an hour, and the end result is a much firmer and more youthful appearance.

Combined with dermal fillers and Botox® to give your face a fuller, wrinkle-free appearance, we have been able to achieve remarkable results with the Sciton Skintyte® Infra-Red treatments. We recommend an intensive initial series of 3 treatments followed by an annual maintenance program to counteract the continuing effects of aging and gravity.

You may also combine this treatment with our Photofacial (Intense Pulsed Light BBL) and Laser rejuvenation treatments for total rejuvenation of the skin, with improved clarity and colour, texture and tautness - see our 3D Age Reversal program.

Botox®

Botox remains one of the most popular non-invasive clinic procedures in the world. Used alone or in combination with other treatments like fillers and lasers, Botox is a safe and highly effective tool in non-invasive facial rejuvenation.

At the Aesthetic Studio, we use Botox® to reduce wrinkles around the eyes, central frown lines, forehead wrinkles, and to elevate and shape the outer brow to achieve a refreshed, youthful appearance.

We’ve also had great success with Botox is in contouring the face by softening the appearance of square jaws, and in the treatment of excessive sweating.

Botox® is a purified protein that is injected in precise doses, directly into muscles to reduce excessive muscle activity that causes the formation of wrinkles. It is injected using a tiny needle and is virtually painless. Depending on the area and amount used, it can be expected to last between 3-6months after which the treatment is repeated. Regular use may help in the prevention of permanent lines.

Botox® had been in use clinically for a decade before it was approved for cosmetic use. It is used to treat a wide variety of disorders such as migraines, sphincter dysfunction and cerebral palsy. It remains one of the safest drugs available for its intended use.

If you’re thinking of Botox® injections, contact us to schedule a consultation with our medical team, and we can design a customized treatment plan for you. We’ll be glad to be of assistance.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers provide a comfortable, non-surgical approach to filling-in wrinkles, restoring youthful volume and contours, rehydrating the skin, as well as enhancing your natural beauty by gently sculpting your features.

Our most popular request is to sculpt and define the nose, the chin, the under-eyes and the cheeks. With effects that last up to a year, and often done as a ‘lunch-time’ procedure, fillers are a safe, rapid and comfortable way to enhance and achieve your ideal facial contours.

In the mature face, fillers are used to restore volume loss (cheeks, forehead and temples) and fill-in those deep wrinkles around the mouth (nasolabial and marionette lines) and lower face that contribute to a sagging tired look, to restore a youthful energetic appearance.

Ageing also causes the loss of hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar complex that retains water, leading to dehydration, fine lines and wrinkles – characteristics of old skin. Dermal fillers can help temporarily replace lost hyaluronic acid to restore the skin’s volume, smoothness and youthful appearance.

Whether your need is to rejuvenate skin, smooth wrinkles or enhance facial contours or lips, we have the product and the expertise to make you look good and feel great; with instant and long-lasting aesthetic results.

The Liquid Facelift (Sculptra)

Sometimes called the Liquid Facelift, Sculptra is a unique product that utilizes natural collagen stimulation to provide facial volume replacement, reduce wrinkles and folds… with gradual and natural looking results, over 6 weeks.

Sculptra Filler

Sculptra Filler

How Does Sculptra Work?

Sculptra stimulates your own facial collagen production, resulting in a natural, soft build-up of the connective tissue, smoothing out of wrinkles and contour defects.

After 6 weeks, clear improvement can be seen, although larger volume defects may need further treatment for optimal results.

How is Sculptra Different? A mind boggling number of choices are available for anti-ageing. Other dermal fillers are typically temporary in that they do not provide longer term reduction of wrinkles and creases. Permanent implants can remain for many years but cannot accommodate continued changes in appearance that occur with age. Skin tightening (or even surgical face lifting) can pull up loose skin, but without volume, the face still lacks youth.

Sculptra is a volumising agent which can help to reduce deep wrinkles and folds, and replaces the fullness of your face which has been lost due to the aging process.

Sculptra works by stimulating your own facial collagen production to replenish your skin and so providing natural looking results.

Sculptra works gradually to restore what has been lost and once your treatment plan is complete, the results can last for up to 2 years.

Sculptra Treatment & Recovery Process Sculptra involves multiple injections over the areas of the face that requires lifting and volumising. To minimise discomfort, a thick layer of anaesthetic cream is applied half an hour before the procedure begins.

The injections are swift, and a hint of the final results visible after the procedure is completed after just 10-15 minutes.

Massaging is essential immediately after and for 5 days after the treatment. Five times, for 5 minutes each, for 5 days. This helps the product to be spread evenly over the entire treatment area.

The excess volume from the injection solution is gradually absorbed over the next few days. The residual Poly-L-Lactic Acid is gradually broken down into carbon dioxide and water over the next few weeks. Before it is degraded, it stimulates new collagen production, and the results of this start becoming apparent after 6 weeks, reaching a plateau after 10 months.

The face is reassessed after a month to see if additional injection is required. Often, 2-3 sessions are needed for optimal results.

Why Sculptra? Sculptra offers a discreet, gradual rejuvenation process. Usually two to three treatments are required, and natural-looking effect should become more noticeable after 6 weeks.

Clinical studies have shown that the results of a treatment with Sculptra can last for up to 2 years.

It is generally well tolerated, with over 27,000 treatments in Australia since 2002. The main ingredient of Sculptra has been used in medicine for over 10 years. This ingredient is both biocompatible and biodegradable.

No allergy testing is required before treatment.

Threadlifts - Minimally invasive Face Lifts

  • Ezylift Facelift

  • Silhouette Facelift

  • Silhouette Sutures “Thread Lift” Facelift

The latest in non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures, the “Thread Lift” offers a minimally-invasive way to restore years to your face and neck with no visible scars, and best of all, very little down-time. This procedure is ideal for both men and women.

As we age, the connective tissues and fat pads below our skin drop down. These changes become obvious in the form of sagging around the mouth, jaws and neck area. As the cosmetic enhancement arena continues to evolve, more and more emphasis is being placed on creative and effective techniques that minimize patient downtime while maximizing natural results.

At the forefront of this cosmetic evolution is the Silhouette Suture Facelift. This facial suspension technique gives natural-looking, effective results that can approach results achieved with open incision mini facelifts, especially when combined with skin tightening procedures.

Facelifts are usually performed under local anesthesia. For those who are more anxious, light sedation can be used. A typical treatment takes about one to two hours, depending on the number of threads used and areas that need lifting. Side effects and discomfort are mild.

The Silhouette Sutures Facelift procedure is often combined with Laser Skin Resurfacing or Rejuvenation, to enhance the anti-ageing effects. Since the facial tissues are not cut, there is minimal scarring under the skin, and a complex open facelift can still be done in the future if necessary. v Recovery after your procedure is usually quick with minimal discomfort. Most patients report a mild achy sensation for a few days that is alleviated with simple painkillers. You should avoid direct trauma or pressure on the face for several weeks, and sleep on your back to avoid pressing the face while sleeping. Normal skin care and make-up can be resumed the following day. Only light exercise is allowed until your post-operative visit.

Fractional Skin Resurfacing & Facial Contouring for Jawline

A square jawed appearance is very common among Asians. The problem is that Orientals with their wide apart cheekbones appear even more boxy with a square jaw.

There are three factors that contribute to this. A prominent masseter muscle – that’s the muscle that pops out when you clench your teeth - is very often the main culprit. Thankfully this can be addressed fairly painlessly with Botox® injections into the muscle. Treatments will initially have to be repeated once or twice depending on the aggressiveness of the muscle after which a top-up every nine monthly is sufficient.

Others may have a protruding, prominent angle of the jaw. This can only be addressed with surgery to shave it down to a more rounded contour and surgery is common in South Korea. Since the significant downtime is a deterrent, most patients at the Aesthetic Studio are usually very happy with the results from Botox® injections to slim their jawline and thus seldom opt for more radical treatment.

Jowls are an area of fullness along the jawline caused by descent of skin and tissues due to aging and gravity. Jowls are seldom mentioned in discussions about square jaw but they do disrupt the perception of a smooth contour making it look more boxy. Just 10 years ago, the only way to address your jowls if you had any was to undergo a surgical facelift. Your options now are a lot more significant and infra-red face-lifting, microliposuction of the jowls and threadlifts - all of which can be tailored to meet your needs.

RADIESSE for Wrinkles and Facial Contouring

Facial Contouring with Radiesse

Facial Contouring with Radiesse

Radiesse, which is also known by its original name Radiance, is a dermal filler used primarily for facial shaping and contouring and is designed to slowly dissolve away over an 18-month period. Effective for treating deeper facial scarring such as acne scars and for filling shallow cheeks and chin unevenness, Radiesse has been a safely used facial aesthetic product for over 20 years.

The product does not contain animal derived ingredients and is based upon a synthetic form of calcium suspended in an aqueous gel. The product spheres containing calcium and phosphate ions that occur naturally in the human body. Radiesse is well tolerated and does not produce an allergic reaction.

The particles or micro spheres contained in the Radiesse product work to fill the skin wrinkles on depressions by creating a form of skin scaffolding into which the body’s own collagen grows. This is the difference of Radiesse compared to other filler treatments, as it actually stimulates the body to create new collagen and encourages tissue regeneration in the area. This, in turn, allows for the long-term effect of the product and also creates the ability to treat larger facial areas.

Radiesse is used commonly in reconstructive surgery or where facial wasting may have occurred due to illness. Radiesse can also be used effectively to smooth down-turned lines and wrinkles at the mouth corners and more severe folds such as the lines that extend from the corner of the mouth to the side of the nose known as nasolabial folds.

Periodic touch up injections will help to maintain the effects of Radiesse, which will start to dissipate after 18 month to 24 months.
