What to Expect
Each therapy session takes around 20-30 minutes. During this time, the procedure is performed without using numbing agents or anesthesia. Your recovery will require almost zero downtime. You can expect some warm sensation due to the thermal effects of laser – but it goes away soon.
You may also experience some swelling which should subside in a few hours. For the optimal results of LipLase, it is recommended that you opt for at least 3-6 sessions spaced apart. Doing so will help continously stimulate collagen regeneration.
To maintain the appearance, it is suggested that you go for maintenance sessions from time to time. Thus, it is a convenient, affordable, and safe alternative to other lip treatments.

What makes LipLase™ different from lip fillers?
Fotona LipLase™ is a non-invasive, needle-less treatment that gives the patient fuller, plumper-looking lips through a laser procedure. The treatment gives you results that are more natural and softer as it encourages the body to naturally stimulate collagen production over a course of 4 to 6 months.
Lip fillers, on the other hand, involve injecting a solution (usually hyaluronic acid) into your lips. While results are instantaneous, fillers tend to be metabolised by the body and break down over time.

How many sessions are required to see results?
Results may vary according to individual's body ability to produce collagen. Most patients can notice a visible difference immediately after the first session. Each session takes approximately 15 minutes.
For optimal results, we recommend at least 3 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart, and thereafter for maintenance, another 3 sessions spaced one month apart.
Is there any downtime after the treatment?
Patients are able to resume their daily activities immediately after. Fotona LipLase™ is a safe, painless procedure with minimal to no side effects. You may feel some warmth and slight swelling on your lips due to the laser energy, but this usually resolves within a couple of hours.
How long does it take to recover? Is there any aftercare required?
There might be a slight, superficial peeling on day 2 to day 3. However, patients can still resume their daily activities.
As part of the aftercare procedure, we recommend:
Using a SPF 50 lip balm to protect your lips
Avoid wearing lipstick for the next 24 hours
Stay away from spicy food or extremely hot liquids for 3 days
Avoid sports activities, including swimming, and sun exposure after the procedure
